I had dinner at this restaurant last night, was in the mood for some old fashioned German food, and was sorely disappointed. Going by the name you'd think that was the culinary genre but nope, you'd be mistaken. As I recall, there was one vaguely German-ish item on the menu and everything else was the standard type of fare you could get in any other chain in town. Absolutely underwhelming.
And, as if that wasn't bad enough, they apparently serve day-old beer there too. One of the people I was with ordered a Miller draft... It was green from the St. Patricks festivities they held the day before. Admittedly I'm not a restauranteur so I don't know what the industry standard is in regards to the frequency you should change kegs but I do know my reaction was one of disbelief. In my opinion you should at least make an attempt to trick me into thinking its new.
Anyways, my prediction is that they'll manage to keep it going for about six months before the new wears off and they go belly-up like the restaurant that occupied the space beforehand.
