Watched The Adjustment Bureau this afternoon and I have to say it was a lot better than I expected. Of course that may or may not be saying much since I hadn't really heard that much one way or the other about it. Honestly, the only reason I bothered watching it was because it was based on a Philip K. Dick short and I really like his particular brand of dystopianism.
The thing that jumped out at me was how Abrahamic the movie seemed. No spoilers but "The Plan" seemed really Biblical. It's funny but I think I would have liked it that much more if the adjusters would've smacked Matt Damon's character around a little more than they did although there was quite a bit of emotional torque laid on the guy. I have to admit, I don't know why I get so into "fight the power" type of movies but I do. Somehow I think this would've been a better movie if the little guy hadn't made such a rousing escape.
