Well, we had a little birthday dinner earlier... My nephew was definitely the life of the party, by far. If you look at the picture you'll see the bear he built today on a trip to Build A Bear. He named the thing Joe Vader as an homage to one of his great uncles and favorite movie characters I really love the way his brain works, it's just too funny.
That little boy he knows how to party as well. He and I hung out for most of the festivities and it was pretty noneventful until his sister accidentally slammed his fingers in the car door as we were going out to get the birthday card that I brought. I'm not sure why but I was the person who he wanted to hold him after the little incident which I thought was pretty darn cool. I guess the biggest sign that we all had a good time was he and I both smelled like root beer and cheesecake when we were leaving. I'll just put it this way he was one big exhausted little boy. He was so tired he could barely hold on to his drink or fork.
As an aside, we saw Tim Duncan at the restaurant we were at tonight. I was actually kind of impressed that no one bothered him or even seemed to pay any attention to them at all come to think of it. I can only imagine how much someone as high-profile as him would enjoy that.
